CPCT Workforce Development Fund

If you work in primary or community health in Rotorua and are planning to study, your pathway may be eligible for financial support. Limited funding from Rotorua Lakes Comprehensive Primary and Community Care Team (CPCT) is available to assist local kaimahi hauora (health employees) employed in community and primary health care settings on specific paths.

RAPHS Medical and Nursing Undergraduate Scholarships

The RAPHS Scholarship was established in 2008 with funds donated by Rotorua Area Primary Health Services Ltd to the Health Rotorua Charitable Trust.

Each year, two RAPHS Undergraduate Scholarships are offered to Rotorua residents in their first year of medical or nursing training, with the intent of supporting the training and retention of local medical practitioners.

  • One scholarship is available to a student who has been accepted into the first year of a nursing degree
  • One scholarship is available to a student who has successfully completed their first year of study at the University of Auckland or University of Otago, and has been accepted into the first professional year of the medical degree programme.
